Sketchbook Final

I moved onto a new sketchbook for the second half of the term. This one had a bound spine instead of a coil one which was fun to draw with but also made photos difficult because the pages didn’t want to lay flat. I spent a lot of time on artist research and looked into some artists that weren’t on the blog. I also explored other links on the blog. I did a lot of collage in this sketchbook in that I kept glueing new pages onto the paper (fun to do, not good for the book spine as I learned later). Besides planning for projects and sketchbook assignments I did a lot of drawings with markers as well as a few pencil sketches. I had a lot of fun with this sketchbook. It’s about ten pages short of being finished unlike the last book since I had a much busier second half of the semester but I would have liked to have finished it as I didn’t quite meet this personal goal for the second sketchbook’s completion.

I pocket I made in the  back of my sketchbook to store extra paper

I moved the collage envelope from my last sketchbook into this one so I had better access to it.

Some of the pieces I’ve cut out to use in collages

Angle view of sketchbook. I sew in the twine into the spine so I can tie the book closed.
